Is it normal to have bleeding when first starting SCD?

Hello, my son has been on SCD for almost ten days. He's currently

taking Prednisone, Imuran and Cortenema. This is our second attempt to

wean him off Prednisone. He developed a cold couple of days ago and now

has blood in his stools. He has about one to three stools per day. Has

anyone experienced this problem? I don't know what to do. I was

thinking of starting the Intro diet again this weekend. I'm afraid that

his GI specialist may want to up his Prednisone again.
