Salicylic Acid and Aqua Smooth

Hey All -- I'm doubling up here with two topics in one post....

My first question is on salicyclic acid -- i recently read that they've

discovered that it does has antibacterial properties, which may explain why

it's sometimes helpful to those with rosacea. I've been taking willow bark

suppliments (a natural form of s. acid) and it seems to be helping, but

recently i've been breaking the capsules open and using the willow bark as a

skin paste, and it really seems to take the red out. Has anyone else tried

anything like this? has it worked for you? anyone had bad things happen? i'm

totally experimenting here, but thought i'd see if anyone else was on my

same track....

secondly, i have to offer a big, big, big thank you to the person who posted

about cover girl's aqua makeup....i haven't worn ANY makeup in nearly two

years. i gave it up, because everything bothered my face and i was spending

a ton of money trying to find something that worked. well, last time i was

at the store, i saw the cheap trial pack of the aqua makeup and thought i'd

give it a shot. i've used it twice now -- and my face looks great with it

on, and best of all, my face doesn't even sting or get red! I won't wear it

regularly -- too much of a risk -- but it's nice to know that once in a

while, I can do the makeup (and the sunscreen) thing again. So, thank you,

thank you! s.
