When do you know if it's severe enough? I've been off work almost 4 months this past year due to being ill with pancreatitis. Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction to be exact. I'm being treated at Mayo Clinic and my doctor has been great. My home doctor is also very supportive. Does anyone have any answers....>>>> Hello Curt & Mardi! My name is Cyndie & I'm from Indiana. My heart goes out to you! I know where you're comin from! You say you have a good Dr and that is 1/2 the battle. Your Dr will have to send SSA his documentation on your illness after you apply. Don't get discouraged if you get turned down at first, this is almost the norm. Just keep on appealing. I had a very hard time getting my SSDI. It took several appeals and a hearing with a Judge and my Atty. But get the paper work started ASAP! It can be quite a waiting game. Best of luck to you! I was just curious as to how they're treating your SOD? Did you have any surgery? Did they do an ERCP? I can relate because 7 yrs ago I was dx with Biliary Dyskenesia and SOD. I had a Sphincterotomy performed at IUMC in Indy in '95. I'll be praying for you that you may find some relief in your symptoms and that you get SSDI. Please keep me posted! God's Blessings to you!
