Step by Step 06/02/00

Hi everyone I am heading out to work this morning after surgery on

Friday, so I thought I would take a few mintues to tell you about my

big day. I had to be at the Hospital at 6:30 for surgery at 9:00, we

were told to wait in the lobby after check in until about 7:30 and

then we were taken upstairs to the 5th floor to a pretty comfortable

room

where they did blood work and my EKG and ask alot of questions. They

came after me around 8:45 to go to the holding area, since this is

were I backed out last time I was really worried, but detrimined I

was having this surgery today. I was greeted there by Shelia(she is

an Angel) She statred my IV and ask alot more questions, we talked

about the Onelist and how often her name is mentioned. Dr. R came

out a little later and the first thing he said was are we donig it

this time

(ha ha) Shelia fussed at him a little for that but everyone laughed.

Next the anthesia team came out and saw that I was really getting

nervous, so they agreed to give me some feel good juice, boy did that

help. At 9.55 they took me into the OR very cold place. Pat

(wonderful) ask me what I did for a living I told her that I was a

Mortgage Broker, so we then went into interest rates and how to buy a

house these days really relaxed me at this point but remember I had

the feel good juice. Next thing I know I am in recovery with a lady

named Goldie telling me to breath deeper at 11:20 I was wheeled to my

room where Goldie had to cuss a few people out because my pain pump

was not in the room, all was fixed in a hurry. This is were I met

Jeff, an Angel from God, all was great from here no pain and I am

home going to work today. Hi Hi Marie and your sweet hubby.
