Guest guest
Hey Shirley, I can't explain why I started having so many problems after what seemed to be a road to quick recovery. I honestly think the enema they gave me was too soon after surgery and caused my bowels to start backing up into my stomach (as gross as that sounds). I was doing fine until then and about 1 hour after getting it I started with the vomiting. I was a self pay patient as I have no insurance but $$ was not the issue...at least not as far as my mom & I were concerned...My Health Was and even after going to the ER Twice and being admitted the Dr's refused to put me on tpn. I asked for multi vitamins to be put in my IV because I wasn't able to swallow my pills...they said it was ordered but I Never got them. I am doing a little bit better everyday as the nausea isn't as frequent and I am able to eat a little more each day. The pain I am having is from my neck to my waist with no apparent cause. Possible neuropathy as I am a diabetic and more than likely a brittle one. I'm hoping that once I can eat normally that things will be under control. Dr. Sutherland has been trying to reach me at home but I was at church when he called yesterday and apparently someone was on the phone today when he tried to call. I don't know what he can do 2000 miles away except to basically say he screwed up in sending me home so sick and refusing to give me TPN after surgery. Prayer gets me through the day and the tough bouts of pain. It's not phantom pain and I'm going to see my pain management Dr Thursday to discuss possibly burning some of the nerves. Hope you are doing well. I'm just taking it one day at a time.
