I emailed Friendship (Friendship Farmers Cheese) and

they were kind enough to respond with locations in my

area. I can get it at BJ's, Market Basket and recently

it has started to be carried at Hannaford.

Look on http://www.scdiet.org/8resources/drycurd_sources.html for DCCC.

We use it so that we do not have to use up our good bacteria 24 hour homemade

yogurt in recipes in baking or freezing recipes....

Also, I've found that you can substitute yougurt for DCCC in baking... I was

pleasantly surprized that it worked so well on an even substitution... I'm not a

very good cook...I thought the texture difference would be a problem ... it

wasn't.

Lucy from the cookbook and kitchen shop, gave me this tip.

So much easier than ordering, or trying to find DCCC

Others have good advice. Another thing that I would add is that I've

often found it in regular stores (the Friendship Farmer's cheese one),

but I've never found it myself. I've usually looked for it near the

cottage cheese or near the packages of crumbly cheeses, and then I ask

for help and get sent back to exactly the place I've looked before but

with more specific directions (i.e. which shelf it's on). THEN I find

it. The packages are small and kind of blend in with everything--for

some reason I find it very difficult to pick out on the shelf. I got it

at Stop & Shop
