Hi everyone,

Previous posts have prompted me to add my . 02. Ebonically speaking, umma

share a few things that may help you out in your dealings with the office and

others in general. " You can catch more flies with sugar, than with vinegar " .

I am not saying you have to kiss peoples SSA's , but a little pleasantness

goes along way. We do it all the time with our jobs and in other situations

when we want people to do something for us. Same goes for DR and his office.

He offers a service and you want it.

Those on the list know me and that I am not a brown noser. (even though my

nose is naturally brown LOL) My views have not always been popular as I have

been quite vocal and opinionated at times. However, I sold pharmaceuticals

for eight years, the last two of which I called on surgeons. These guys/gals

MUST be dealt with in a certain manner, otherwise, you wont get what you

want. I have never had a problem dealing with the office and Debbie was

always accommodating to me. I also know that a little positive interaction

will work to your benefit. Every time I needed something, my requests were

acted upon within 24 hours. Many of you didn't have the same experience.

Perhaps those who were dissatisfied could have done something differently. A

little skill in the public relations department will best serve your

interests.

I say all of this to say people have egos and feelings. By recognizing and

acting upon these facts, you will indeed assure that you always get what you

/want/need. You might be thinking that schmoozing is not for you. Well, if

that mindset is kept, you may be in for more disappointment when dealing with

people in general. I am not saying you were in error because I was not there

and may not be privy to all the facts, but you can't be a ITCHB when you are

trying to obtain something that someone else is in control of.
