Guest guest
Yup...it can get terribly confusing. My sister's name is . Her kindergarten year, there were two other s in her class: , and McGinty. So, the class had a M., a N. M., and a , since they didn't use last names on their papers. The three of them were in class together until about 3rd grade, when there were only the two 's left. Totally confused the teachers unless last names were used when speaking about them. That's why I wanted an uncommon name for my daughter. I wanted something different, but not so different she'd be made fun of for it. (I'm sure that kids will find plenty of other things to make fun of her for...kids always do...but I didn't want to directly cause it.) Shanna mom of Triana, age 2 wcf reminder, Troops Now that we do have a " MariAn " with and " a " in the last syllable, I am signing my posts with first and last name: n Rojas--I am the one with the " O " as in MariOn Rojas. To make it worse, for those of you who are on any other lists, there are numerous of us with both spellings. The only thing worse that I can think of, in terms of confusion are the many s and Merandas, the Jen, Jenns, and Jennies, and even the Kelleys and s. The men seem to have distinct first names. n Rojas, musingly
