They're advertised to control the symptoms of seb derm and psoriasis (Web site lupicare.com). I purchased a small jar of the cream -- active ingredient is salicylic acid. I'm trying Gold Bond on half my face and Lupicare on the other twice a day to see which is better in controlling the flakiness. If anyone's interested I'll post results after a few weeks. I've been using the Gold Bond for about 5 after my curiosity got the better of me reading posts from some of you who have had nice results. So far, so good! Thanks to snoskiman!
