I'm crying in Mississippi

I am so upset. I need to be getting ready for my children's ballgames and all I

can do is sit here and cry and ask " WHY! "

I just rec' the BCBS policy that I requested yesterday (fast). It specifically

says: Benefits will not be provided for the following:

number 30:

" Weight reductions programs or treatment for obesity including any surgery for

morbid obesity or for removal of excess fat or skin following weight loss,

" regardless of medical necessity " , or services at a health spa or similar

facility " .

This is such a crock. They would rather pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to

treat the problems of obesity thank pay for the surgery that works to help

reduce the weight so that the majority of the time the problems go completely

away.

I am praying Great West will be more open minded about this surgery. I hope to

find out soon.

I'm sorry to bother all of you with this " again " but I am so confused and

desperate. I CAN NOT self pay and its looks like I am running out of choices.

Even if I save the money. I make about $2,000/month. Even if I put back 1/2 of

it, it will still take me 15 months to save it.
