Guest guest
Hi , thanks for the info. My agent says it excluded if you have already been treated for and/or diagnosed with it in the last 5 years and I have not been diagnosed and or treated with anything having to do with my weight except once and that DR died and his records have been destroyed so........ (agent) also advised waiting until after the policy has been issued before going to see my PCP about the MGB. Unless they just look at weight records and go on that, which said she did not think they would unless they found a reason to look at that such as being DX with something to do with weight. (high BP, diabetes, etc) (which knowing how my luck runs they will :-( For those who are interested the way it works is ..... I go pay the first monthly premium and they have someone " write " the policy and approve or disapprove and tell me what will be covered and what will not be covered. Then if they agree to coverage and I agree to the policy they have written I keep it and they will pay for any medical expenses (if there were any) from the time I paid them money. If they will not cover me and /or I decide that I do not like the policy they have written, I get my money back and thats the end of it. Oh a word of advice to people on group insurance (I did not know this so I'm sending it FYI....whoever wants it) If you are on a group ins . After 2 continuos years with that group they " must " overlook and preexisting condition and cover it. Its a new law passed about 2 years ago. Does anyone know about this that can send me any info on it such as the date passed and the name of the law? " What Are You Willing To Lose? " Angie in Ms 5'3 " 240 BMI is 42 Dr. Rutledge http://clos.net Found list 5/22 Insurance...still waiting Sent packet ? Approved ? Surgery ?
