I was off about 2 1/2 weeks,mainly just to get off clears/liquids before I

went back.(I work in an ambulance,no refridgerators!)

The nice thing about carafate and working is that you throw down a

swig(medical term) and it has a good hour to work. I heard another nurse on

the list and she carries water or juice w/ her and sips all day.

Try to plan a little yogurt or something while you chart. You really will

forget to eat!!!!Really!!!No,Judi you will!(Can you tell I still can't

believe this?) I also really overpacked-yogurt,sm.O.J. ,V-8,pretzels(salty

ones!),oscar meyer lunchables,cheese chunks,etc. Things I could nibble on.

Physically I was able to do Jazzercise 4 days post-op(low impact, came home

took a nap).I'd recommend keeping shorter shifts and plan on a nap when you

get home. You'll do fine! I'm extra freaky about getting hepatitis post-op,so

really be careful(I know we all are pre-op,but really focus/obsess post-op!).

Keep me updated on how you're doing!
