Guest guest
Hello, I read about a lot of kids with gut dysbiosis having developmental problems as well as obvious gut issues like diarhea. I'm wondering what you all think about my little guy. He is underweight and has chronic constipation that has subsided with ezymes and chiropractor. He is now on SCD though not strictly and now has looser stools and complains of tummy pain and leg cramps. Other than that he is extremely bright, articulate and learns quite fast. He runs and jumps and initiates play with others in small groups. He is creative and speaks clearly and has a good sense of humor. He is growing and has not lost weight though he's only in the 3rd percentile (I'm quite petite too). He's diet has been varied but he didn't start eating solids until quite late ( we suspected reflux but never treated it) I have been told by another SCDer that he is destined for trouble and that I would be irresponsible if I didn't do the diet. I am doing it for myself as well and do like to see him eating other stuff besides wheat and sugar. I have wondered if enzymes would be enough...and taking him off sugar, limiting soy and startches and corn. Now that we are on the diet, though he asks for sugar and wheat, he doesn' seem to get too upset with not having them. He just doesn't eat that much now. gwen
