i was told that the tetracyline would make me photosensitive, boy did i find

out the hard way. i have been couped up inside for a week and had to get

outside for a while so i put on some spf15 sunscreen and was outside for

maybe 15-20mins in the bright florida sun. about an hour or so later my face

got so blotchy and red i almost freaked out. then i realized that this too

shall pass as do most of my bouts with rosacea and acne. i couldn't believe

that even after i put on the sunblock that i could still have a reaction.

then i looked at the bottle of sunblock to check out the expiration and lo

and behold it had expired september of last year. i guess this is what was

wrong? i was so desperate for the redness to go down this morning that i put

cortisone cream on half my face to see if it helps. i read the post on aloe

vera so i'll go out in the yard and cut some for me to use today. has anyone

had such a bad reaction to the sun while using the tetracycline? i am taking

500mg 2x per day, and was told to immediately stop using the desonide cream

and cortisone on my face that i have been using for years before i got this

diagnosis. thanks for any input, its greatly appreciated.
