Guest guest Posted March 6, 2002 Report Share Posted March 6, 2002 At age 22 I started to swell and get papuls, After 5 years of Dr's, Specialists, and Derms, I finally found a Dr that was able to diagnos me with cea. He put me on Acutane for about three 6 months. He also gave me Metrogel and a cortizone lotion which I use every now and then for redness. I have not been back to my Derm for about 3 years now. I tend to get a out break about one a year now. I narrowed down to Alcohol especially beer. I will swell and get the papuls about a week after drinking alcohol. I have very oily skin I found that using a cleansing soap bar called Acne aid works really well. I also found that when I swell that using hot compresses help aid in the recovery.
