Guest guest
I find it fascinating that we all have so many different, odd types of situations that can trigger a flush. Oh sure, there's the usual: red wine, spicy food (and many other food sensitivities), hot drinks, overexercise, and too much sunlight --- but what about fluoride treatments at the dentist's office? Last time I had a fluoride treatment, I lit up practically instantaneously! And funniest of all: one evening last week one of our cats came running into the house at full tilt, and it was immediately apparent to all of us that he'd tangled with a skunk. He jumped up into my lap, positively *reeking* of fresh skunk spray, and I was bright red within 15 seconds --- it was that fast. It was *very* strong fresh skunk odor --- if you've ever had the dubious pleasure, you know it has a peculiar underlying chemical aroma that can make you feel dizzy and disoriented. I guess it's not surprising that this would trigger a flushing attack --- but I've never heard it reported on any rosacea sites or medical articles! Pat (who lives in the country and is all too familiar with skunks at close range)
