Dear ,

I had the pancreatectotomy in February of this year,as well as the

auto-islet trasplant. In response to your question;I can see no

reason to subject your son to a partial and the trauma involved if he

could have the entire pancreas removed as I did. The pancreas is

located on the backbone and requires a great deal of trauma to get to

it.The tail and body of my pancreas was enlarged before my

surgery,even though my CP stemmed from the head,so even if one area

is removed the problem can spread to another area and you are left

with the same problem. Good luck,Amy

I had the tail of my pancreas removed due to a cyst that had a high

chance that it would become cancerous, not due to pancreatitis.

However, when I was actually in surgery they did say there was

inflammation (pancreatitis). If you have specific questions let me

chance that it would become cancerous, not due to pancreatitis.

However, when I was actually in surgery they did say there was

inflammation (pancreatitis). If you have specific questions let me
