Guest guest
here's a few that i use/have learned: 1. Greatly reduce simple sugars/carbs in your diet. Go on protein and veggies if you can. 2. Resist the temptation to try new skin care products to fix the problem. Stick with what you usually use. 3. Drink alot of water (if you don't already.) 4. Keep a washcloth in the freezer. lay it on your face to cool it off. 5. If at a restaurant or at work, get some ice water in a glass and roll it on your cheeks. a can of soda works well too! 6. Rinse your face with distilled water, leave pretty wet and put a drop or too of pure oil on each side. i use almond oil. if your face is really inflamed, only use oil for a couple days - no moisturizer. this seems to let my skin be protected and heal at the same time. 7. Sleep on your back in a cool room, preferably with a window open a little, or a light fan on. if you can't fall asleep on your back, try on your side with arm under your temple so that your face stays mostly off the pillow. 8. Wash pillow cases frequently. get a satiny pillow case that does not rub your face at all. i sleep on onw the those allergy pillows that has a slippery cover. i don't use a pillow case at all. 9. Eat alot of fish with omega 3's. Try salmon. 10. try taking 1-2 tblsp. a day of flaxseed oil. really helps dry skin and seems to reduce inflammation/flakes. that's all i can think of right now. hope that helps! take care, carrie --- naomi smith nagrow@...> wrote: > Thhis is probably the million dollar question > but when the face in > intolerant to topicals has anyone managed to > control inflammation by other > means? __________________________________________________
