Dear Cathy,

Reading your heartbreaking story about the cruel kids in s

class. brought me right back into those terrible years in elementary

school. It's amazing that in 35 years nothing really has changed. My

life was a living hell back then. I was pretty, I was sensitive, I was

sweet, I was equally as smart. But................ of course I was

chubby and they were not going to let me forget it. They did everything

in their power to destroy me. When I say " they " it wasn't the entire

class, it was just two girls who the entire class was afraid of.; Alice

and Janet, and they were enough to make my life miserable. When I turned

14 I had enough. I went on Weight Watchers, I dyed my hair blond, and

then I started to baby sit like crazy to make enough money to get a nose

job, just to change my looks 100% I did not really even need it but my

parents gave in. I walked into school after the summer and was

unrecognizable. Even though my life drastically changed, and I became

very popular from that point on, I never forgave Janet or Alice for

making my childhood so terribly painful! Years later after we were all

married and had children, I had a reunion at my beautiful home on the

water at the time and Alice and Janet both came. I actually took the

time to tell them the terrible pain they had caused me through all the

elementary years. They both had this dumb look on their faces like they

were clueless to what they had done. Amazing isn't it? they both tried

to destroy my life and would beat me up on the playground or after school

everyday and took no claim or responsibility. It was not even memorable

to them, yet they ruined my self esteem with out even knowing or caring.

If it matters to your beautiful you can tell her from me, she

will be the victor in all of this. She will get the nicest husband,

she will live a beautiful life and she will have great children who will

grow up sensitive and caring to the world around them, because she will

teach them that! Tell her to be brave and to always be sure who she is

and keep that beautiful smile. If those mean and stupid girls had half

of s confidence, , they wouldn't have the need to make other

peoples lives so miserable. Better days are coming... I promise

Luv, Susie, soon to be MGB
