Elaine agreed with it as a > treatment. What is the best source for this? I am reading up on it, and it seems like a great possible choice; it has also been found to reduce symptoms of Crohn's disease, as well as preventing recurring C.difficile infections. The article I read mentioned two different sources, but I'm wondering if there is a definitive, trusted manufacturer for it, as it is said to be expensive. Thanks for this info! I want to order some tomorrow, so just in case I get a positive, I will have it to start trying. I am really hoping, if the test if positive, to avoid Flagyl or Vancomycin. Has anyone here had success with just taking saccharomycs boulariddi for either c.difficile or antiobiotic caused diarrhea? Debora

Guest guest
Hi: I know that Klaire has 100vegcaps for $16.95. of L.acidophilus 3billion CFUs. They say the following on their website: " *SCD compliant formula *Lactobacillus acidophilus is one of the most important resident microorganisms in the small intestine. It can implant itself on the intestinal wall as well as in the lining of the wall of the vagina, cervix, and urethra, where it produces lactic and acetic acids that inhibit colonization of pathogenic organisms. L. acidophilus also produces lactocidin, acidophilin, and other natural substances that are antagonistic to Escherichia coli (E. coli, the cause of " Montezuma's revenge " ), Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella (causes of food poisoning), Candida albicans (yeast), and other undesirable organisms. L. acidophilus can also aid digestion and absorption of nutrients, stabilize bowel function, and produce lactase enzyme. Klaire's SCD-compliant L. acidophilus formula uses the same ATCC certified strain found in our mixed probiotic formulas. This hearty microorganism is provided in a base of purified plant cellulose in a potency of 3+ billion CFUs per capsule, making it suitable for individuals adhering to the Specific Carbohydrate Diet program who wish to supplement this important probiotic in support of intestinal health " Hope this helps. 33y mcs, mom to fiol 14mo ASD > > > http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/products/probiotics/saccharomyces/Saccharomyces_C_60_\ Spec240.html > > It's $20 for 60. > I'm not sure how that compares with other companies, but this brand is > SCD Legal. > > > Jody > mom to -7 and -9 > SCD 1/03 > > > > > > For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book > _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following > websites: > http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info > and > http://www.pecanbread.com > >
