Guest guest Posted March 6, 2002 Report Share Posted March 6, 2002 If you've experienced less flushing when you eat red meat, perhaps it is because of what you DIDN'T eat at that meal. I frequently have meat or fish when I go out because it usually comes with fairly simple side dishes -- a potato, vegetables, etc. Compare the ingredients in a steak, baked potato or rice, and vegetable to a dinner of Mexican food or a pizza and you'll see that the chances to encounter allergens are far less in the basic meat meal.
