Guest guest
Hey all, Anyone out there have ocular rosacea and wear contacts? I have been wearing contacts for about 7 years up to recently when my eyes surface got dry and my eyelids were swollen, they were also having a burning sensation. I haven't worn my contacts for about 2 weeks since. However, I believe with the Ocusoft Eyelid cleaner and Thera Eye Drops I have been using they have gotten better. I also am taking the flaxseed oil and just started with the borage oil, though I can’t say if they have helped yet. I heard a few people in the group mention Unisol 4 for contact lens so yesterday, I went out and purchased it. Since my eyes and eyelids were getting better I took a chance and put the lens on. I had them on for about 4 hours and my eyes were fine. I think I will continue with this program, however, I have thought about Lasik surgery, I don't know if that is a good idea since I have ocular rosacea? Another concern for me is the weather? Here in New York City it is suppose to be cold at this time of year. A few weeks ago we were in freezing temperatures and that's when my face felt as if it was on fire, it felt like I had a bad case of sunburn and it was only January. Since then I have had 2 Photodem treatments (Which I will write about in detail in the near future) and I am currently using Noriate twice a day and Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Moisturizer whenever I feel dry or tight. My face has gotten much better. However, what does the hot humid days of summer have in store for me if I felt like I had sunburn in January? Regards from the Big Apple, Rob __________________________________________________
