Guest guest
Can anyone out there tell me whether you get sagging skin after the MGB surgery? I have had some conflicting information and this is something I have seen when people lose weight quickly? What can be done to prevent this from happening, if it does happen? Guest guest
Dear DW, The sagging skin with rapid weight loss is a concern of mine too. I think there are many factors that are in play here: 1. your age. 2. How faithful you are to an excercise program after your surgery. (read 'dying to be thin' post on this site) 3. How 'faithful' you are to supplements after surgery. (i.e. protein will help you maintain muscle and burn fat) I think that some 'sagging' cannot be helped. (I still need to find out Rexanne's 'secret', " How to look like a Barbie post MGB as reported by Flo). I have heard some post GBS patients having to have " tummy tucks " or mastopexy (breasts) I am still waiting for surgery and am no expert, but just wanted to offer my 'take' on the subject.
