Is it normal for acute pancreatitis to last so long

My sis has had acute pancreatitis for almost 5 months, that is if it

is acute. They think so far it is, but she is not getting any better.

I was just wondering if anyone else who had cat scans, ercps, and

endoscopies were told their pancreas was fine, but then found out it

was chronic. Thanks and hope you are all feeling ok. God bless.
