Guest guest
Jen, We were supplied with the swabs to wipe the top before inserting the needle to draw it out. We used it for 18months and always did this. (Australia) Anyone use Colistin or any drug similar? got a question I was wondering if you clean off the tops of the vials with an alcohol swab first? When I had gestational diabetes last year (not looking forward to that again all to soon!) I had to clean the top of the insuline bottle with a swab before sticking in the needle. We weren't told about doing this with these, although we have been. Should we keep up with this practice? or is it really needed. The reason for the insuline is because the needle went into my arm. Here the needle just injects the mix into the neb. Any thinks on this one? Jen, mom to 4, Yolo 2 1/2 and PJ 6 months all w/cf. Baby?? due April 14, keeping our fingers crossed. _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963
Guest guest
Jen, When Wyatt was on Colistin I kept a bottle of rubbing alcohol and some cotton balls in the kitchen where I mixed it up. Then just cleaned the top of the bottle before inserting the needle. It is important to keep the needle sterile and not let any dirt or dust be introduced into the medicine!
