Guest guest
Hi Panc. Pals, I did get a call at 5:15 today and it was from my nurse at Ohio State University Hospital(OSU) and my surgery to have my pain pump replaced is schudled fro this coming Monday Setp 23. I have to Be at OSU at 11am to register and the surgery will take place around 1pm and last about 2 1/2 hrs. At least one good thing is that the surgery is being done as outpatient and I;ll get to come home after I spend 1 hr. in recovery. I would image the ride home 2 1/2 hours without any traffic will be a bit unconfortable, but at least I'll be home Monday night to sleep in my own bed. The did tell me I be asleep you the surgery. Boy, am I glad of that, I hate to be awake for surgery and all of the sudden they say oops- That has really brought me out of my semi-sleep in the past. With only having to wait until Monday for the surgery, My pain pump shouldn't stop working and I shouldn't have to go thought withdrawl. I feel better knowing that I don't have to wait very long for the surgery, it'sbetter this way, because I won't have long to worry about it. Please keep my in your prayers on Monday. THANKS!!!!!! Take Care, Louie in WV
