Guest guest
Hi, Jody and everyone My 4yld son is on SCD 1 month, he mostly eat chicken or pork, green veggies, apple, pear, melon, walnuts. during the middle of this period, we did metabolic Analysis profile from great smokies, shows he has very high ketone and BHBA, it is due to the diet change. he maybe has high ammonia too, I know the protein should not eat too much, but its hard to feed him full. Does SCD can cause high ketone? any advice would be greatly appreciated! BW. My son also has red cheek whenever he gets tired like the end of afternoon after school. the more tired , the more red, and this is not related to foods. any thoughts?( he is not chelationg, and this is been long time ) Many thanks Betty __________________________________________________
Guest guest
If he's getting enough carbs, SCD should not produce keytones. Try using fitday.com to determine his current intake. http://www.fitday.com Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
