Guest guest
Has anyone else found that taking a minimal approach to skincare is helpful? For the last few years, I have been trying all kinds of daily skincare regimes, with twice a day washing followed by various creams, lotions and Metrogel. I have the mainly red face, occasional pustules variety of rosacea. I have my annual physical next week and am planning to get a referral to a new dermatologist, so knowing that help was around the corner, I started slacking off on my routine. Lo and behold, my skin is looking better now that I am washing my face only once a day and using only Sy's Vita Oil. I'm wondering if I was " working it " too much and creating some of the redness I was trying to get rid of? I will still go to the derm to see what he or she has to say about my particular case, but for now, I'm sticking with this minimal routine to see if it keeps my face calm. (I already drink tons of water, try to eat low glycemic, take flaxseed oil every day, and walk 6 days a week -- none of that has made big improvements in my rosacea but I feel healthier!)
