Guest guest
It's just on my face, in all the places I used to use metrogel and metrocream. It doesn't respond to moisterizer. There's no redness (I've had 8 photoderms). At first it just looks like yellowish dried skin -- you can barely see it. Then, after it builds up a little bit, and I wet it, it looks like a white film. Then, after it builds up some more, a thick white film. When it dries it looks a little crusty, and scaly. In the later stages it's like an oily, scaly mask on my entire face (except on my forehead, where I never used antibiotics much), and it comes off in flakes that are tannish in color. My derm said it wasn't seb derm, she said it was 'build up of medication?' Could this be anything but seb derm? There's no redness, and it's all over my face -- not just in the usual seb derm spots. It first showed up after I started taking vitamins -- I was taking Ester C, Grape seed extract, vitamin E, and flax/borage oil. Could it be an allergic reaction to any one of those? Could it be psoriasis? Any ideas? -jeff I'd like to get back on the vitamins, since they were helping my flare ups a lot.
