Wanting to start a new life

with the help of MGBsurgery by Dr. R

If you see someone without a smile,

Give them one of yours.

If you and I should meet and

you forget me, you have lost nothing.

WOW! I'm so impressed with your weight loss so far. That's so terrific!

I'm pretty happy with my " measly " 20 lbs...and I'm a week behind you. I

hope to get to 25 lbs. by June 22 (my one month mark).

What kinds of food are you eating? Are you doing anything special? How do

you feel (other than thrilled!)?

Be proud of you!!!!

Amy.

one month post-op update

Hello everyone!

Today, the 15th, is exactly one month to the day after my MGB

(5/15/00) and I went to my PCP for a check up.

Drum roll please............. 43 lbs are gone forever!!!!!!!! I

couldn't believe it when the nurse weighed me; I knew I had lost

(loose clothes, not having to move the seat back in the car after

hubby drives, etc) but I couldn't believe 43 lbs in one month!!!

The nurse was so amazed that she told the other nurses and secretary

and a couple of patients and I had to tell them all about the dear Dr

Rutledge and my experience. I loved doing that!!!!

I know because of my higher start weight that I will lose much faster

than my small brothers and sisters; but I gotta start somewhere!

Memory, this is for you; yes, you can lose the weight you want to

lose and it is very possible to do this. I do not feel deprived or

hungry; I eat what I know I should eat and enjoy it! I drink plenty

of water and take my supplements. I haven't really started an

exercise routine yet, so I know when I do that it will melt off of

me!!

I'm sorry this is so long, I'm just doing the happy dance and wanted

to share the good news!!

God Bless,

MGB 5/15/00
