Hello gang....I am new here.

Hi. My name is Barnhill Dunn and I live in Greenville NC. I

am 24 years old....just coming up ony one year wedding anniversary on

Monday the 26th of June to the most wonderful guy in the universe. I

am pre-op. I am having difficulty in deciding what to do because of

insurance, etc. I am sure that all of you have heard that story

before. I have Cigna Healthcare of NC through my husband's

employment. I have not officially been denied in writing yet...just

over the phone twice. I have contacted Walter Lindstrom as well and

he said that he could not represent me if I use Dr. Rutledge....I am

not sure why..he gave no details. I have also put myself on

the " waiting list " here in Greenville at the medical school....but

that wait is at least A WHOLE YEAR. (At the very least. The doctors

here in Greenville that do the surgery are Drs. Mc and

Chapman. They do the " Greenville Bypass. " I am so disapointed that

Walter Lindstrom can not represent me if I go to Dr. R. I really

like the procedure that he does but I definately can not afford to

pay myself. I am a full time student (with aspirations to go to med

school in the future) and a part time retail sales person. My

husband is sooooooo supportive of me but I simply can not go on

living like this. I am too large and out of breath to walk, to

exercise, my ankles hurt constantly, knees the same, I am miserable

and I am desperate to have this surgery but it is a given that myh

insurance won't pay.....so I was going to use Wlater Lindstrom as my

life line. What do I do now? Please give me some advice. I know

that you all have heard these stories before and I am sorry for the

long post here....but I need help. Thanks so much and I hope to hear

from all of you very soon.
