Guest guest Posted June 12, 2002 Report Share Posted June 12, 2002 I don't know if this is a cea reaction or an occurance of contact dermatitis. This weekend I broke out with a rash in a localized area of my chest. It didn't itch at first and looked more like broken capillaries than anything else. By the next day it had progressed more to one big red slightly swollen area. I was also very flushed from that day onwards. Today the flush is getting better. I went to my dermatologist yesterday who couldn't give me any kind of definitive answer. He said it could be contact dermatitis (although for the life of me I don't know what i could have touched to trigger it)or a pre-signal to Lupus (i ahve a positive ANA, but tested negative for Lupus on this go around - have to go in for annual check- ups). Just wondering if anyone has had a similiar experience? oh, he gave me a topical steroid to use once a day for the next week. it's a 1% solution.
