Hi my name is and I am 20 years old. I have Celiac Disease and

a freind of mine told me about this diet to see if it would help me

feel better, stop side pains, get more energy and stop feeling

depressed. I have been on the diet for about 2 weeks. I seemed to

notice an improvement after just three days. But just yesterday I

seemed to have had a slight relapse. Is this normal? I am trying not

to introduce " new " foods too soon. Thanks for your help.

Welcome .

You are likely experience what we call " die off " as the bad bacteria struggle to

survive.

Make sure you followed the intro diet and are introducing additonal foods

gradually as you

just said. Hold off a bit with yogurt. Things will improve soon. Most newcomers

to SCD

experience this phenomenon but it usually passes and you start to heal.
