This is a fact-seeking question, and deserves a factual answer, not

one based on anecdote or opinion. Your doctor could have explained

that yes, whiteheads and blackheads can appear on rosacean skin. When

inflamed, rosacean pores typically become edematous (to form papules

and pustules). But they can also become blocked with exudate and

other dead byproducts (to form black and whiteheads) -- although this

tend to do so much less commonly than do pores reacting to bacterial

causes of inflammation.

Obviously I can't say that's what is happening on your face. (No

matter how hard I squint, I can't see your face through my monitor.

) But for diagnosed rosaceans with inflamed skins, the skin

management goals for reducing inflammation would be the same, however

the pores reflect their inflammation.
