Hi there. Call SS and talk to them direct. I believe they have

raised the limit again. This is what I remember from going through

all of this (I am in the midst of a review myself right now):

They told me that the limit was 700 dollars for " substantial income "

(yea right), actually I think it is like 720 or something and that if

you didn't make over 500 dollars they didn't consider the month at

all as a " trial work month " . Who knows, they tell you something

different every time you call em. You might just want to talk to a

SS attorney on the phone or go one line with SS and ask them stuff

(although I don't trust em). What year was this? I know when I

applied in 1998, the limit was anything under $200 bucks a month and

they averaged my income then. But on a trial work month it is not

averaged I think it is actual 9 months in a five year period. They

don't have to be consecutive months.

I am in the midst of a review going on since March. Finally wound up

having to go to a SS doc and it wound up to be a psychiatrist! To

say the least I was pretty ticked off since being on disability since

1998 (backdated to July 1997) for pancreatitis! It has been 2 1/2

weeks since I saw this clown and have heard nothing. Needless to say

this is one of the stressors that put me in the hospital a month ago!

According to SS also, if you are taken off benefits they say you can

appeal within so many days and request to draw benefits until the

appeal. My question is this: What happens if you lose your appeal?

Do you pay back the benefits you received while waiting for appeal?

I have received two different answers, positive and negative! Best

thing is to talk to an attorney.

I don't have my puter up and running yet, so I won't be able to see

your reply during all this but will check back ASAP.

Take care and hang in there.
