Guest guest
Shelby's check up went OK. Thank goodness. A little shadow on her lung but no more than the Dr expected given her problems over the last two weeks, and much less than the same time last year when she had her first two weeks IV's. She is still on the Zirothomax (spel) for another 14 days but he thinks it will clear up with the medication. She had a throat swab taken and managed to cough up some stuff which they are now testing (fingers crossed). But what was really great was the way she let them take her blood sample. Usually they have trouble getting blood from her veins at all, (they keep clotting or collapsing on the needles which is why they cant place a canular.) but this time they put the emla cream on about hour and half before hand and she sat and watched them. She hardly cried at all. All she wanted to know was what they were doing. So all in all good so far. Thanks for asking Nicky!
