Guest guest
Just wanted to comment on the pancreatic function test done at Mayo Clinic. Is it only done at some hospitals? It is listed on my order sheet that I rec'd for my bloodwork and EGD. It's under " GI Physiology " and the doctor checks the box for " pancreatic function test. " I even asked her about it and, I think she said, they go down to the pancreas and draw out some bile/fluid and test it or something. This is at the U of Mich where 's sister was - I wonder why they didn't do the test on her - or maybe they did. Crystal - I have been thinking of going to Mayo Clinic also - did you have to have a referral.? Did your insurance cover it? Do you have an HMO? I think the HMO has to cover it if a specialist is sending the patient there because they don't know what else to do for them.
