Everyone seems to be doing pretty well. Glad to see that. I have been just lurking lately. I have been rather blue and was able to read the posts but just didn't have the gumtion to get involved in any conversation. You see my beloved Dalmation, Dutchess, (that I had for 10 years) died two weeks ago. It is like losing a family member. I have been crying myself to sleep every night but I am starting to come around. My goodness, I had Dutchess before I had my kids. It is hard to get used to her not being around. On a good and lighter side I am down 31 pounds. Three cheers for Dr. R!!! Jackie in DE 5/24/00 -

Guest guest
Hi Jackie, I'm Nora from Fla. I am so sorry about your precious Duchess. I know exactly how you're feeling and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I've lost two of my precious dogs (my babies) and they didn't pass away from old age. Just writing you and thinking back how difficult a time it was for me, I'm crying as I write this. We pet lovers love our babies as an extension of our families. I know this is just unbearable right now, but everyday will get better. I now have a black lab named Reina (Queen in Spanish). She's the Queen of the house and we love her dearly. I'll say a prayer for you and keep you in my thoughts. Oh, I almost forgot - Congratulations on your weight loss! We're all proud of you! You go, girlfriend! Keep up the great work. Has it been difficult losing the weight? I'm in the paperwork process right now and sent my electronic form to Dr. R. yesterday. Well, gotta go for now. Take care of yourself. Lv, Nora in Fla. Guest guest
Hi Nora: Thank you for your kind words of sympathy. Losing a pet is really a horrible thing to go through. Within the last 18 months I have lost my Mom, 2 cats, my mother's dog and now Dutchess. It has been tough. But since my mom's passing I am really trying to get my life in order and that in part led me to Dr. R. Which has been a godsend, truly. I know I would have never been able to loose the weight without this surgery. The weight feels like it is falling off. I haven't even started exercising yet. I know when I do, it will even come off quicker. Take care Nora, and know that you are doing something wonderful for yourself. If you need a contact e-mail me privately at Brisajama@...
