Guest guest
Listmates, I am confused about the use of Candex or Candinase as was previously posted. I have a bottle of Candex, but I thought I had read somewhere that this was illegal on the Specific Carbohydrate diet. The ingredients in the Candex are as follows: Vegetarian Cellulase Vegetarian Hemicellulase Vegetarian Amylase Vegetarian Invertase Vagetarian Malt Diastase (wouldn't the malt make this illegal) I do not know the ingredients in the Candinase? Can someone please clear this up for me? Thanks, Myra Vegetarian Glucoamylase

No, it is legal. > The ingredients in the Candex are as follows: > > Vegetarian Cellulase > Vegetarian Hemicellulase > Vegetarian Amylase > Vegetarian Invertase > Vagetarian Malt Diastase (wouldn't the malt make this illegal) It isn't malt it is malt diastase (also known as maltase), which is an enzyme that is breaks down simple and complex sugars. The " other ingredients " : cellulose, water and magnesium sterate are also legal. > I do not know the ingredients in the Candinase? Two enzymes which are legal, in a vegetarian capsule (I believe).http://www.enzymedica.com/candidase.php So, both are legal.
