Guest guest
Hi Yall! Yea, we are from KY incase you missed that one! haha Anyway, I want to share with you some of what Caden's CT report says to see if any of you relate. ****************************************************************** Frontal sinuses are not yet pneumatized, normal for age. Frontal and ethmoid sinuses appear normal. There is a small polyp (9x5mm) protruding from the superior wall of the left maxillary sinus. There is mucosal thickening in the inferior right maxillary sinus measuring up to 4mm in thickness. Maxillary ostia appear to be _______ to the soft tissues although these structures are very small in patients of this age and anatomic delineation is difficult. There is thickening of the mucosa of the left middle and inferior turbinates. This can be part of the normal nasal cycle although the thickening mucosa on the left inferior turbinate appears to cause partial blockage of the nasal passage. A septal deviation is not seen. Impression: Right maxillary sinusitis and left maxillary sinus polyp ******************************************************************** I don't know what the ______ represents in the dictation. This was actually a preliminary report that was sent to my son's allergist and the dr at the hosp. hasn't yet signed off on it. I had the allergy clinic fax me a copy. Maybe the _____ will be filled in by the dr.. who knows. Does this sound familiar to anyone and is 4mm in thickness very thick? Thanks so much, Krystena s mom to: Caden 4 yrs Glutaric Aciduria type II (testing for CF) 10 yrs (half sibling) -Diabetic Warren 7yrs- (half sibling) Not tested
