Guest guest
I am further than ever from discovering what is causing all my problems. My skin has like 50 differnt problems now. I have to assume I have some sort of allergies, Its the only thing I can think of that could cause like 5 simultaneous skin problems. The one I am asking about tonight, is on the knuckles of my hands, my ankles, and parts of my feet. It Only appears when I am taking a shower. Fifteen minutes after a shower, it is always gone. However, it looks very similar to a rash I have on my hands almost all the time. I ALMOST ALWAYS a little internal rash thing on my hands that appear especially when I get too cold (this is not the one im concerned about, I know a bunch of people have this problem, but i dont really know anything about it) . Its Never raised or itchy. its like tiny little blotches ALL 100% underneath the skin. There's TONS of them and they're all close together. it is not like the pictures of a food allergy. It looks sort of like a dimented checkerboard. (red blotches and then some regular white skin in between 'em) This looks pretty similar to what appears on my knuckles and feet after my shower. Except on my knuckles/feet its MUCH more red, MUCH more noticable, And many of the Blotches are ALOT bigger and trails off extremely quickly. I also have another version of this rash that has appeared on the bottom portion of my cheeks (beard area only) in recent months. That part of my face is not being treated w/photoderm as it is clearly not cea (although possibly related? who knows?) However, Tonight I didn't notice the rash appear on my knuckles until after I'd reached for my bar of Cetaphil soap (which I use every night on my face) Incidentally, the rash is ALWAYS much worse at night. although its become more constant on my face than anywhere else. (This rash is Not the same as the little bumps I get around my mouth and cheeks sometimes which I believe IS some sort of food allergy/intolerance) Anyway, just because I didn't notice it until I reached for the soap doesnt mean it wasnt there, BUT I decided that was evidence enough to test something out. I took the bar and semi-vigorously scrubbed the knuckles of my right hand for about ten seconds and then rinsed all the soap off both hands. They both looked about the same. however 10 seconds after my shower, my left hand was almost back to normal, and my right knuckles were rashier than ever! Then I thought about it. I get this rash on my cheeks, (where I apply the Cetaphil every night), my hands (where I rub the cetaphil onto every night before putting it on my face), and my feet (where the cetaphil trails off onto as it washes off in the shower every night) I'm beginning to wonder, could this rash be caused by soap? Or by one of the perfumes in the cetaphil? Or is this just another one of those coincidences that makes the actual culprit harder and harder to find? (I have been using Cetaphil for about a year, just started noticing the rashes several months ago) As always my Derm is no help, I've tried getting a new one, but the NRS was not much help, and either was the list of Derms I got from Galderma! I have an appointment with an allergist/immunologist but thats still 45 days away and they refuse to move me up. And I simply can't wait that long with all these things going wrong and getting worse, and new things appearing and etc etc Its driving me FREAKING NUTS!!!!! HELP! PLEASE!
