Guest guest
I went to a new derm today. (It had been about 5 years since I had been to one.) Nothing too innovative about with he prescribed, 500 mg. tetracycline once a day, MetroLotion, sulfur soap. However... He said I might want to consider a procedure where he inserts a needle into the veins (he never said the name of the procedure, but I know I've read about it) and the cost is $70 to $100!!!! I questioned him and the nurse said that there was one patient who had a lot of veins done and it was about $140. I am absolutely stunned! Seventy to $100? I can EASILY spend that much at Whole Foods or a drugstore trying stuff for my face! I asked about make-up (my other derm said " no make-up EVER " ) and he said " you'll probably want to wear make-up to cover that. (DUH!) Just make sure it's water based, oil free and fragrance free. " He looked at the 2 I brought (L'Oreal Air Wear and Almay Skin Stays Clean) and tried them on his hand, as did the nurse. He liked the L'Oreal better but said they were both good. Could things be looking up? Ruth ---------------------------------
