Hello everyone,

Interesting development at the dermatologist's office the other day:

After telling the derm that I am on zoloft, he informed that he has

seen a lot of people develop skin problems from taking zoloft and

prozac and other SSRI's. After looking at my face, he also sid that

he " had a feeling that it has something to do with the zoloft. "

Afterwards, I looked up zoloft in a PDR and discovered that " skin

rash " and acne are side effects of the drug. So, I have decided that

I am going to start weening myself off of the drug very slowly (over

the next few months) to see if this possibly is the cause of my

rosacea. Luckily, I only take 50 mg so I don't think that I will

have a great deal of trouble getting off. I definitely feel that any

benefit that the drug has had is being offset if in fact it is also

causing my skin problems (which cause me a great deal of stress and

anguish).

I definitely am not saying that if you take zoloft you should stop,

as I know the drug has helped millions of people drastically.

However, I have made the decision that I want to see if this possibly

is the cause of my rosacea. Any opinions????????

-Adam
