Guest guest
I saw my pcp today. I had sent him an e-mail about my weight and my blood sugar going wacky again. I told him I wanted him to tell me I was just being silly for being concerned about my recent weight loss. He wanted me to come in, so I did. He told me that he was very concerned about my weight and he does not want me to lose any more weight at all. He said the only thing he knew to tell me was that I have got to eat more often and consume more calories. He said he still feels the blood sugar problems are just a result of my poor nutritional status and all the assaults my body has had. He feels that once they do the surgery and stop me from having the episodes of pain, nausea, and vomiting, which often cause me to have to go days at a time with little or no nourishment, my blood sugar will return to normal. For now, I am just to monitor it several times daily. I have decided that I am going to see the nutritionist my sister has worked with off and on for several years. He has worked with Dr. Champion in Atlanta, who dose the gastric bypass, so he knows the changes entailed with the gastric bypass. I feel he can give me the most sound nutritional advice on how I can keep from losing any more weight and keep my sugar under control. Anyway, I'm in need of prayers as it is very difficult to eat when you aren't hungry and know it will most likely cause pain and nausea.
