Guest guest
One of the teachers at my school just found out her five year old has CF. I told her I would e-mail my net group because I seem to remember that there are some children (adults too?)who have both CF and CP. Which came first? What is the connection (if any) between CF and CP? Cecilia Cecilia soce@... Guest guest
Hi Cecilia, I have both CF and CP, but it´s more correct to say that I developed CP from CF, why? Being a genetic disease, you must born with CF, and you can develop various diseases due it, incl. pancreatitis. You also may have respiratory problems, along with another types of digestive troubles as reflux . By the way, it´s normal dx of CF be done due symptons of diseases that CF brings to you, that was my case. My dx of CF was done because I was having so much digestive disorders, that leading to a CP dx, and soon after to a CF dx. I was 31, but in my 20´s I also had a real bad lung problems. As I know there´re a lot of CF people that also have CP. If you have CF, the mainly problem is CF, CP is just a consequence. If your friend are prone to know more about CF, I´m member of a good list, you can pass this adress for her - Http://Cystic-L.org or feel free to ask for more, I will aswer with pleasure. Best Wishes for you, your friend and her child, Liane-37yo you wrote: One of the teachers at my school just found out her five year old has CF.
