Salicylic acid vs BHA?

Hi, I'm new. I was diagnosed with a mild case of rosacea two weeks

ago when I went to a dermatologist to get a mole checked. I read the

brochure he gave me, and then read a bunch of stuff from this group

which has both helped and confused me.

I threw out all the alcohol and abrasive products that I was using,

and I actually started to notice a difference after 4 or 5 days. I

have combination skin with a fine rash on my forehead, cheeks and

along my jaw, and my nose keeps breaking out.

Anyway, here's the question: what's the diffence between salicylic

acid and BHA? I've read some things here that make it sound like they

are the same. But I bought a small bottle of a's 1% BHA and it

really burned when I tried it! BUT I have been using things with 2%

salicylate in them with out the burning, and I didn't think they were

making my face worse. So what's the diffence?--thanks, Jess.
