This link provides much information on crataegus oxyacanthus, and as

Kim writes, oxyacantha is but one of many varieties of this plant and

family, which are members of the rose family--along with apricots!!

Recent data which I have not pulled up again this morning suggests

that crataegus oxyacantha specificly can be valuable in digestive dis

orders such as those experienced by cystic fibrosis patients.
