We had a nice Christmas Casiie made it through with out any problems. No pain since a week ago Friday when school got out, tell me its not strees. Christmas day was another story. We never got around to getting the mail on Christmas eve. Cassie brought me the mail and the letter from Dr Fox in Boston. Then the day went to hell. I'm so annoyed at the moment, I need to blow some steam. After a conplete review af all Cassie's reccords, biopsies and films it was a $2500 consultation. He says they cannot find anything anotomicly wrong with her. yet he wants to do a Spinctorotimy (sp) stint placement. This really confusing me, if there's nothing wrong why go in and mess with it? Can't haveing this procedure cause her more problems and pain. Pain that they refuse to treat cause she's a kid and they worry about addiction. So are you guys ready for the kicker, he sees no benefit from enzymes, antioxident therapy and my favorite continuing with the low- no fat diet. Give me a break, I can see the difference in her pain levels on the diet vs off the diet. I also have personally experience the benefit of this though I just thought I had IBS come to find out I also have spink1. If I eat a meal heavy in fats, its out the other end within 2 hours at the most and yeh it floats and stinks to high heaven. I came up to this conclusion on my own years ago, like I said I thought it was IBS. We really feel like this visit was a waste of our time and money. Cassie is really down too about it. She does not want stint placement. She says she'd rather have pancreatotmy with islet transplant. She's says lets get this over with so my like came have some type of nomality to it. So any way thoughts and experiences about spincterotomy. Would you do this procedure knowing full well that there is nothing anotomicly wrong? Could I be causing her more harm with this procedure? We understand that it can releive pain in some but usually only helps for a few years. I hope this finds all of you well and pain free. God bless may 2003 hold the mirical cure for all. Hugs!
