Guest guest
Hi--I felt just like you did the first two weeks--I even called my MOM and just boo-hoo'ed over the whole thing. It's very hard to completely change something up, and for me, it's hard to let yourself believe again that something might work for your kid--you just don't want to get crushed again when/if it doesn't. We've been through the entire DAN protocol and a million specialists, homeopaths, etc., etc., etc...We've worked HARD for over 7 years to find out what's wrong with my son--and yes, sometimes I want to just say-- " Screw it--if he's going to feel bad anyway, he may as well be able to eat SOMETHING he likes " (though I never have actually given him something I knew he couldn't have). BUT, this has been different. We have seen more improvement with this than anything else we've tried. Something is wrong with this kid's digestive system, and no one knows what. When I read BTVC, the research just seemed so sound, and I felt compelled to keep at it. This site has helped b/c I got the tips about the ketchup in the crockpot (another crying incident happened before I knew this, with my five year old yelling-- " Mom the tomato sauce just exploded! " ), substitutions, etc. It will get better. I hope you'll stick it out for a month and see for yourself if there's a change. We are at the one month point in a day or so, and the hyperactivity has decreased nearly 75%. I am impressed. Please take care, , SCD one month son with mild/borderline autism and severe gastrointestinal problems >From: pecanbread >Reply-To: pecanbread >To: pecanbread >Subject: Digest Number 2150 >Date: 21 Feb 2006 16:56:31 -0000 > >There are 25 messages in this issue. > >Topics in this digest: > > 1.
