Nystatin ingredients?

Hi Sheila, I called the pharmacy and they said his compounded nystatin

contains the nystatin ,stevia and methylcellylofd agent(mixed with

water.Are any of these ingredients illegal? Thanks Toni

Stevia: Although not encouraged can be used if there are no other

alternatives (saccharine, honey, pure dextrose and pure fructose are

okay in pharmaceutical preparations only) available for your

compounded medicine.

Don't know about methylcellylofd. There are a few different things

this could be. Ask your pharmacist to be it for you. If they say

that it is the proper name ask what else it is known as.
